About Me
Hello and welcome! I began my career in 2000, as the first-ever, full-time animator at Fisher-Price, Inc. After six years with the company, I launched my own animation studio, August Productions.
My student films screened at a variety of venues including the Brooklyn Museum of Art. For my professional contributions, I have received the Champion Performer Award from the President of Fisher-Price, three Telly Awards, and the 2014 Award of Excellence from the Videographer Awards, for my role as Executive Animator on the nationally-aired ABC-TV documentary, Building a Basilica. My latest independent film, Lock the Gate, which was completed in 2022, has screened at festivals around the world. I have traveled as far as Daegu, South Korea to discuss the artistic production of the film.
In addition to running August Productions, I am also very passionate about teaching. From 2008-2020 I was a Full Professor and the Program Director of the BFA in Animation Program at Villa Maria College, in Buffalo, New York. I then taught for four years at Canisius University, where I was an Associate Professor of Digital Media Arts as well as the Internship Director for our Department. After gaining much valuable experience in game development and design, I am now back at Villa Maria College, focusing on my true passion, which is animation production. I look forward to sharing my knowledge and experience with the next generation of up-and-coming artists and storytellers!
